Paint a cabinet
It is surprising how quickly change color to one element can cool a room, as shown in this eye-catching yellow chair.
First, apply a wood or multi-surface in your piece of wooden furniture primer (use the multi-surface option if you paint over the age of paint ) and let dry. Once dry, sand so that the paint adheres to it, give it a dust and then slap on a few coats of paint. You can use an all-in-one primer if you want to skip the first steps.
This is a great project to undertake a sunny day on the terrace (but be sure to protect your patio with an old sheet).

Make a some floor cushions
a chunky floor cushion will bring a touch of warmth to a room and is a great utility for knitted old or cheap shots or even unwanted riders patched together. You can knit or crochet cover in place if you are handy with thread.
To rework an old jet, simply fall back on, not quite in half, leaving a large flap. Overlock around in a matching color of thread to make an envelope, turning the edges under a bit as you go. Next, fold the flap so that it covers the cushion body and Whipstitch up the sides, leaving the top edge. Finally, stuff it with old pillows or large cushion pad.
